Part of a two vase set, this piece was created using a carving and inlay technique that carries a high level of risk. After throwing the initial cylinder, I carve the design directly into the form and inlay the pattern mid-throw before continuing to shape the vase. The piece is made using eleven different colored clays, all of which are handmade in my studio.
