Created using a Green clay base and a mix of 2 techniques. I made up a nerikomi design of the flowers and then I carved out a pattern in the base clay. While throwing this vase I constantly swapped the direction of the wheel spinning in and effort to retain it's pattern. Piece is finished in a glossy glaze making it water tight. All colored clay used in this piece are personally handmade in house by me.
